Who we are and your agreement
RepairSeeker is operated by Fried Pickles LLC, a Florida limited liability company. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company. “You” means anyone who uses the site, including shop owners.
By using RepairSeeker, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the site. You can contact us at contact@repairseeker.com.
What RepairSeeker does
RepairSeeker helps people find and contact phone, tablet, computer and game console repair shops and data recovery services in the US. We don't repair devices. We are not a party to any repair or agreement between you and a shop.
Shops are independent businesses. We don't employ, supervise, license or inspect them, or check their work, prices, qualifications or insurance. We make only the checks described on the site. Examples include checking that a listing looks like a repair business and that someone claiming it is connected to it.
“Owner-verified” means the owner claimed the listing. It does not mean we inspected or approved the shop.
Shop listings
- Sources. Listing information comes from Google through Google Maps Platform, each shop's own website, shop owners and our staff. It can be out of date or wrong. Hours, services and phone numbers change. Check with the shop before you go.
- Ratings. Ratings are Google's. We display them as Google reports them and credit Google.
- AI descriptions. Some shop descriptions and repair lists are written by an AI model using the shop's own website. They can contain mistakes. Use “Report a problem” on the shop's page or email contact@repairseeker.com to report an error.
- No endorsement. A listing is not an endorsement or a recommendation.
- Featured listings are paid placements labeled as paid. They appear only in positions 3 and 6 of a list and never change the order of the other shops. The map and distance order are never paid. How we rank explains the order.
Quote requests
When you send a quote request, you agree that we send it and your contact details to the shop or shops it is addressed to, as the form and our privacy policy describe. Give accurate information and only your own contact details.
Shops decide whether and how to reply, and they set their own prices. Any quote or repair is between you and the shop. We are not responsible for what a shop does or doesn't do.
Rules for shop owners
- Only claim a listing you own or are authorized to manage. Keep its details accurate.
- Don't post false or misleading content, fake reviews, other shops' details or anything you don't have the right to post.
- Use customers' contact details only to answer their request. Follow the laws that apply to contacting them.
- We may review, edit or reject edits and photos, reject or revoke a claim, or remove content at any time. This includes when content breaks these terms or we can't confirm a claim.
- Claiming and managing a listing costs nothing. Featured placements are paid and agreed with us separately.
Content you send us
You keep ownership of what you submit, including descriptions, photos, hours, edits and messages.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide license, with no payment to you, to host, store, copy, display, resize, crop and publish your content on RepairSeeker and in links to and previews of its pages. This license lasts as long as the content is on the site and for a reasonable time after, while copies clear from backups and caches. You confirm that you have the right to give us this license.
Everything else on the site, including its design, text, code and ranking, belongs to us or the companies we license it from. Google content belongs to Google and is used under Google's terms.
Using the site
- Don't scrape, bulk-download or copy the directory, or use automated tools that overload the site.
- Don't use RepairSeeker to send spam or harass shops or customers. Don't send false requests or pretend to be someone else.
- Don't try to get around our security, bot checks or rate limits.
- Follow the law when you use the site.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
We don't guarantee that the site will always work or have no errors, or that listings are complete or correct. We make no promise about any shop, its work, its prices or its availability.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data or damage to a device, or for anything a shop does or doesn't do.
Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Some states don't allow some of these limits. In those states, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and hold harmless Fried Pickles LLC and its members, employees and agents from claims, losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that come from your use of the site, the content you send, your breaking these terms or your dealings with a shop or a customer.
Ending access
We may suspend or end your access, remove a listing or content, or revoke a claim at any time, including when you break these terms or to protect users. You can stop using the site at any time. An owner can ask us to close their account at contact@repairseeker.com.
The sections on content you send us, no warranty, limits on our liability, indemnity and governing law continue after access ends.
Governing law and disputes
The laws of the State of Florida govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms goes to the state or federal courts located in Florida. You and we agree to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll show the new date at the beginning of this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
General terms
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part does not mean giving it up. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement about using the site. You may not transfer your rights under them without our written consent.
