About TDR - Staten Island (Drop-off)
TDR repairs laptops, Microsoft Surface Pro devices and game consoles through its Staten Island drop off location. Appointments can be scheduled for computer repairs. The company also accepts devices by mail from across the United States, including motherboards sent without the rest of the console.
Console models include the standard PS5, PS5 Digital Edition, PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro. Xbox One and Xbox Series X are also covered, along with Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite. For PS5 consoles, the company says it uses factory original HDMI 2.1 connectors and rebuilds damaged motherboard pads with micro soldering.
Tech Device Repair says it has worked on electronics since 2013. Its board work includes replacing individual chips and repairing damaged traces, the small conductive paths on a circuit board. After replacing a broken console port, it cleans the inside of the console before putting it back together. The console is then tested before being sent back.
